J.T. Rothrock Memorial Conservation Week
In 1961, the Pennsylvania legislature deemed the last Friday in April to be Arbor Day and the week that includes it to be Dr. J. T. Rothrock Memorial Conservation Week. The legislators decreed that “during [this] week the citizens shall be encouraged to consider through suitable activities the broader subject of the conservation of all of the natural resources from which the wealth of the Commonwealth is derived.”
Join PPFF in an observance of Dr. Rothrock’s contributions. Visit your favorite state forest and share your photos.
